ABOUT US


SRS Safety Services, Inc. was founded in 1996 to assist Building Owners, Architects and Contractors in complying with the California and Federal stringent Exterior Building Maintenance (EBM) safety requirements. Assistance is offered via Consulting; Design/Engineering; and Documentation and Training.

SRS maintains a unique position as an innovator within the EBM Safety Consulting field, as its founders were all instrumental in the creation and implementation of many current Cal-OSHA and ANSI Safety Regulations.

SRS copyrighted its version of the now required Operating Procedures Outline Sheet (OPOS), which was used by Cal-OSHA as a guide and reference tool in their drafting of the essential elements that are required in the development of an OPOS.

CEO, Rick Scott continues to be a leader in the EBM industry. Rick co-founded and served on various standard writing committees and industry association boards. His ground roots experience, leadership, knowledge and continuing industry participation gives SRS a distinct competitive edge, along with the company's uniquely qualified partners and employees. Additionally, SRS is Cal-OSHA Accredited and holds California Scaffold & Testing (SIT) License Number 24.

Randy Girouard, S.E. is SRS' Cal-OSHA Engineer of Record. Randy's experience with exterior maintenance systems and components range from simple fall protection devices to complete scaffold systems and associated anchorages. His extensive knowledge and attention to detail has contributed greatly to the reputation and engineering excellence for which SRS is so well known.

PROJECTS

 13 Building Facility along Sunset Boulevard -- all low to mid-rise buildings. Provided CAL/OSHA representation to resolve an existing citation as well as retrofitting on several of the buildings within the facility. Services Provided: * Cal/OSHA Representation * EBM System Engineering * OPOS Development 

Major Healthcare Provider, Los Angeles Medical Center

 Twin 10-story office buildings required OPOS documents to specify safe operating procedures. Services Provided: * Consulting * OPOS Development 

Equity Office -- LaJolla Centre I & II

 Ten (10) low to mid-rise office buildings. The unique architecture of these buildings consisting of projecting window boxes, glass screened balconies and a series of curved roofs atop glazed-walls required several creative system design elements. Our mixed access solutions include: Suspended Scaffold; CDA (Controlled Descent Apparatus); ground based equipment such as, Aerial Lift, Extension Poles and Ladders. DES Architects -- Pacific Shores Project, Redwood City, CA

 Mid-Rise Super-Structure Petco Ballpark consists of a central stadium with several low and mid-rise buildings and mechanical structures throughout the property. SRS engineered needed Fall Protection Systems and comprehensive operating procedures for safe access. Services Provided: * Consulting * EBM System Design & Engineering * OPOS Development 

Hines -- Petco/Padres Park, San Diego, CA

 Several low-rise buildings scattered over hundreds of acres used primarily for commercial operations. SRS provided Fall Protection System Design and Engineering Services as well as comprehensive EBM Safety Policies and ongoing Safety Training. Lucasfilms -- Skywalker Ranch & Big Rock Ranches, Marin County, CA

 Mid-rise Office Building consist of two 5-story commercial office buildings. SRS provided the davit system design and OPOS documentation. * Consulting * EBM System Design * OPOS Development
